Britney Myisha Art: Immortalizing Moments Through Live Wedding Painting

Photographs are wonderful. Videos are glorious too. But what if you can capture your first dance as a married couple or any other wedding moment through a painting that you can take home right after the celebration? This is exactly what Cebuano live painter Britney Myisha does for her clients!

A Heart for Art

In the midst of digitized snaps, this artist gives a refreshing take on preserving memories. An age-old practice has found its way back to modern weddings, capturing enthralling emotions and enthusiastic energy in a single frame.

The golden hands of Britney Myisha turn your once-in-a-lifetime event into a masterpiece. Seven years of painting and drawing has turned her love for art into art for love. A year ago, she was tapped by a churchmate to live-paint their wedding. Then, with a bit of research and marketing, the rest was history.

A Canvas of Love

I feel responsible for empowering, even more, the Filipino art industry to showcase their skills, using it to serve people, and make lives more meaningful through art. It is important that we see purpose in our talent and use it to serve others.

As you take home artwork that will forever commemorate your celebration of love, Britney also strives to empower the local art community, one wedding at a time. As one of the pioneers in the wedding live-painting industry, she says, “I feel so grateful. At the same time, I feel responsible for empowering, even more, the Filipino art industry to showcase their skills, using them to serve people, and make lives more meaningful through art. It is important that we see purpose in our talent and use it to serve others.”

Every stroke of her brush is filled with as much passion as couples uttering their vows at the altar. Britney paints with the goal of making every portrait unique as it echoes the extraordinary details of the couple’s remarkable love story. In fact, she considers making each unique a challenge for her as an artist.

Most unforgettable gig: My first booking! It was raining very hard and the whole reception was not able to transfer and actually decided to stay in the rain and enjoy. The painting was dripping and did not dry on the day but I still manage to pull off putting the whole unique wedding experience into a canvas. Including the beautiful rain in the background.

With an easel, a paintbrush, a blank canvas, and brilliant talent, she illustrates smiles, tears, and even raindrops in the background—like when her first-ever live painting stint inaugurated her with a downpour. Even so, you can trust her to deliver her realism art.

A Priceless Memento

According to Britney, “The best thing about this is that the painting will speak not just to the couple through their seasons but even to the generations that come.”

People want to take every possible route to create a lasting moment. This fact is etched in stone, which is why weddings are usually filled with a whole team of photographers and videographers, along with photo booths, polaroid guest books, drones, disposable film cameras, to name a few. Not to mention every guest with a cellphone in hand, snapping away to take photos of your big day.

Live painting is yet another way to indulge in the imagery while also providing calm and quiet entertainment, even in the middle of blasting music and boisterous cheer.

As for Britney’s tip for couples: “Enjoy the planning despite the stress! Love the journey of creating your best wedding for your partner and your loved ones. Make no room for ordinary and be as creative as you can in planning. This is going to be one of the best days of your life. It is very much worth investing!”

And we couldn’t agree more. It will easily be your wedding’s pièce de résistance! If a picture paints a thousand words, let Britney’s painting tell your undying love story.
